VFiles opens entries for runway show

VFiles on Wednesday announced that they are accepting entires for VFiles Runway Season 7.



 
The creative-focused social networking platform is calling on designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, photographers and models to upload their work on the platform to be selected for its crowd-sourced fashion show. In order to enter, designers must create a profile on the VFiles website and upload their work. The VFiles team will then review the entries and announce the winners based on popularity, marketability, design and mentor feedback. Entries close on Monday, August 1, 2016.
 
For the past six seasons, VFiles Runway has presented a number of designers and brands that have been picked up by Selfridges, Colette and Urban Outfitters among other retailers and have caught the attention of many celebrities including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus. In addition to the runway show, VFiles also operates VFiles Third Floor, an incubator that develops talent discovered at VFiles Runway.

The winners of VFiles Runway Season 6 included Ottolinger, which is up for the Swiss Design Award and serve as creative consultants for Kanye West’s Yeezy brand; Feng Chen Wang, which was nominated for the LVMH prize; Hardeman, which is nominated for the Dutch Design Award; Neuro Couture by Nayana Malhotra, which won the first VFiles_XO wearable tech category; and Anton Belinskiy and Kim Shui.
 
VFiles will announce the mentors for VFiles Runway in mid-July and the finalists on August 8.
 
The VFiles Runway Season 7 show will be held in New York City on September 7 at 8pm.
