Veronica Beard opens first-ever store on Madison Avenue

Women’s ready-to-wear brand Veronica Beard on Tuesday opened its first-ever retail location in New York City at 988 Madison Avenue.

 
The Upper East Side store was open for part of the summer. The co-founders and sisters-in-law, Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard closed the store on July 16 to revamp it for the official opening.
 
The store interior is a cozy, contemporary space that mirrors a living space, save for the golden metal racks where the merchandise hangs. Patterns are prevalent throughout store like the leopard print couches; tiger print pillows and gingham curtains that pull together the pleasant interior. The flagship boutique stocks the brand’s pre-fall collection as well as third-party vendors like Bluemercury, Commando, and Hunting Season among others.

Miele Beard and Swanson Beard founded their eponymous brand in 2010 with their signature Dickey Jacket that served as a basis for the first collection and the entire brand.
