VF Corporation has appointed company veteran Cameron Bailey to the position of executive vice president, global supply chain, effective June 1, 2019.

In the new role, Bailey will oversee all aspects of VF’s global supply chain operations, including some 23,000 employees working across the firm's supply chain worldwide. He will report to VF’s chief executive officer, Steve Rendle, and will serve on the company’s senior leadership team.

Bailey first began his career with VF in 1989. Throughout his time with the company, he held multiple manufacturing and operations management roles within VF’s intimates apparel business, which was later sold to Fruit of the Loom in 2007. As part of the sale, Bailey exited VF and transitioned to Fruit of the Loom.

After nine years working in various supply chain leadership roles with Fruit of the Loom, Bailey returned to VF in 2016. Most recently, he served as VF’s vice president, supply chain, global product supply, where he managed the direct and indirect procurement of all materials and the manufacture of all products globally for VF’s portfolio of 20 brands.

“[Bailey] is a long-time VF leader who has spent his entire career in manufacturing and global supply chain management roles,” said Rendle. “His deep knowledge of VF and our supply chain operations, in addition to his collaborative leadership and commitment to excellence, make him ideally suited to lead our supply chain organization.”

Bailey succeeds Tom Glaser, who announced his retirement from VF after an 18-year career in supply chain leadership, including eight years in the top position.

Earlier this month, VF reported a 2020 forecast that fell below expectations on slowing demand for the company's North Face and Vans brands, in addition to announcing the finalized separation of its denim business as Kontoor Brands Inc.
