The new business venture equally marks the first apparel subscription service to be offered by a retail brand in the advanced contemporary market, according to a statement from Vince.

The online subscription is described as a “rental service”. It provides unlimited access to Vince’s women’s apparel collection for one flat monthly fee, with the option to keep and purchase any favorite items. A four-garment plan is priced at $160 per month and includes free priority shipping, unlimited exchanges and returns, and complimentary laundering services.

Customers will receive four items at a time that they can wear as often as they like and then return or keep.

The service is currently available for U.S. based customers and is accessible through vinceunfold.com.

“Vince Unfold is an innovative new subscription service that will tap our existing product assortment to drive incremental revenue while further advancing awareness of the Vince brand,” explained Brendan Hoffman, Chief Executive Officer, Vince, in a news statement.

“We believe that subscription services will play a much greater role in consumer shopping patterns in the near future and are excited to partner with CaaStle to offer this service.”

CaaStle will handle all the customer experience, logistics and technology aspects of the service.

Vince, an indirectly wholly owned subsidiary of Vince Holding Corp, operates 45 full-price retail stores, 14 outlet stores and its e-commerce site, vince.com. It was established in 2002.
