Swiss luxury watch brand Richard Mille has landed in New York, opening a 390-square-metre store, its ninth in the Americas and its largest worldwide.

The opening of this exceptional store, located at 46 East 57th Street, close to Central Park, marks a new chapter in the Swiss watch manufacturer's history, positioning the brand strategically in one of Manhattan’s top commercial districts.

“Since [Richard Mille's] inception, one of my chief objectives was to open a store in New York. But I never rush into a project until the circumstances are ideal. We knew this store would be a crucial showcase with global visibility, so it was important to wait until we found the right location,” said Richard Mille, founder and CEO of the brand, in a press release.

The store’s 390-square-metre premises are entirely bathed in natural light, thanks to its huge glass façade, and also benefit from additional LED lighting. The store’s interior design is inspired by the imagery, expertise and creativity at the core of Richard Mille’s timepieces. For example, the lift’s operating mechanism is in plain sight, as is that of some Richard Mille watches.

The ground floor, with its ebony showcases, hosts the brand’s watch collections, while the mezzanine has a bar, VIP rooms and a lounge overlooking 57th Street.
