Woolrich and Griffin team up for classic jacket capsule
Heritage US outdoor brand Woolrich and British urban adventure label Griffin Studio have collaborated on a capsule collection revisiting two classic Woolrich jackets which launched on Friday.
The capsule seeks to merge Woolrich’s technical features with Griffin’s urban aesthetic, updating and revising Woolrich’s iconic Atlantic Parka and Atlantic Smock.
Both jackets are available in two different unisex colorways and are completely reversible. One side is black or photo-print camo, while the reverse side of both versions combines the Woolrich Buffalo Check and Griffin’s signature orange lining. The two pieces also feature a Griffin Studio logo patch on the sleeve, down insulation and a detachable coyote-fur ruff.
Each jacket has been produced in a limited-edition run of 1,830, a nod to the year in which Woolrich was founded.
To celebrate the launch of the capsule, Woolrich hosted an event at London architectural icon, 180 the Strand, treating guests to two experiential spaces and performances from Oneman, Tirzah and Fatima. Along with Griffin Studio founder Jeff Griffin, attendees included soul singer Poppy Ajudha, British radio host Roman Kemp and American actor Leebo Freeman.
The Griffin x Woolrich capsule collection is available to purchase now in Woolrich stores worldwide and online through the brand’s e-commerce website. The Atlantic Parka is priced at $1,900, the Atlantic Smock at $1,500.
