Spain’s Inditex advances in the US. This month Zara will open a new megastore in the World Trade Center area, confirmed the President of the group Pablo Isla at the CEDE congress in A Coruña, Spain.

The new store will spread over 2,800 m² at 222 Broadway and will become the fashion label’s eight retail outlet in New York.

A revamp of Zara’s Fifth Avenue flagship store is also underway. Inditex plans to grow the store’s retail space by 50% to 4,000 m2. Additionally, the company will also debut a new location in SoHo soon.

Pablo Isla highlighted the group’s fast expansion in the US, as well as in China. In September, Inditex opened a dozen new stores around the world, increasing a store network that already reaches 6,683 points of sale in 88 countries.
