Bibhu Mohapatra will be featured on Friday, March 17, and Rachel Roy will be the featured designer to close Charleston Fashion Week on Saturday, March 18. Both designers will also serve on the Fashion Panel under Fern Mallis, who will determine the winner of the 2017 Charleston Fashion Week Emerging Designer Competition Winner.
Naomi Russell, Executive Director of Charleston Fashion Week, said, "We are very excited and honored to have such great designers like Rachel Roy and Bibhu Mohapatra during CFW 2017. This continues CFW's goal of bringing nationally known fashion stars to Charleston, to judge and mentor the competing emerging designers, as well as highlight the strong fashion scene here. Charleston Fashion Week 2017 promises to be bigger and better than ever, and we look forward to seeing everyone under the tents next month."

Founded in 2007, Lexus Charleston Fashion Week is a five-night fashion event featuring over 35 runway shows, the Emerging Designer Competition: East, and the Rock the Runway Model Competition. The event aims to increase economic development for the region’s fashion, design and retail communities, increase brand awareness and media impressions for all participants, and serve as a “pathway to New York” for emerging designers and models.
Lexus Charleston Fashion Week will be held at Marion Square in Historic Downtown Charleston, South Carolina from March 14 through 18.
