Stampd had a remarkable year in 2015, which spilled into 2016. Last year, the avant street brand was named one of GQ’s Best New Menswear Designers in America and it introduced its first women’s collection. This year, Stampd held its very first fashion presentation at NYFW:M in February, and this week the brand will open its first retail location on La Brea in Los Angeles.

The 1,400-square-foot store is designed in collaboration with New York-based design firm Snarkitecture, a regular collaborator with Kith and COS, and the space features a black and white color palette, with white walls, silver Turkish travertine floors, blackened steel racks, overhead rail lighting and an exposed wooden ceiling. Founder, Chris Stamp revealed that the interior design is inspired by the aesthetics of Tokyo and Copenhagen.

The La Brea store also features limited-edition photographs by Adri Law, David Grr and artist LA, as well as custom surfboards designed by Futura.

Founded in 2011, Stampd has evolved past high streetwear to a contemporary lifestyle brand that retains its styling cues. After launching 10 capsule collections, Stampd emerged as a true menswear brand that is cited as one of the brands behind California’s men’s fashion boom alongside John Elliott, CWST, Chapter and Fear of God among others. The brand also has an ongoing collaboration with Puma that began in 2015.

The Stampd La Brea store is located at 130 South La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles, California and opens on April 9.
