Surmesur opens in Chicago

Canadian made-to-measure retailer Surmesur has opened its doors in Chicago at 200 North LaSalle Street, located in the heart of the city's financial district.

"We've had Chicago in our sights for a long time," says Surmesur co-founder François Thériault, in a news statement.

“As one of the country's largest cities, Chicago was a logical choice for the rapidly expanding clothing company and its original shopping concept,” the company adds.

The new store front marks the retailers second location in the U.S., following the recent opening of Surmesur Pittsburgh.

In store, clients can see and select fabrics as well as collars, cuffs, buttons and more for their custom creations. Clients will also get their measurements taken and have their final fittings in store.

Surmesur was launched in 2010 in Québec City. The company combines traditional tailoring with technological innovation, allowing clients to design their own made-to-measure suits and shirts.
