The Hundreds new collection mocks athleisure trend
Mar 3, 2016
LA-based The Hundreds spring 16 line is here and includes Inter.Active, a tongue-in-cheek jab at the athleisure sportswear trend, featuring a performance product line for dogwalking and video gaming.
The Southern California streetwear inspired brand is known for its “people over product” emphasis. The Inter.Active collection description starts out very similar to other athleisure brand marketing, separating itself from the core spring 16 line, becoming the “most technologically advanced release yet.”
The materials include water resistant nano coating, wind/waterproof taping, bonded hems/seams, and reflective trims, all common athleisure tech features designed to perform under the user’s intense wear and concurrently elevate the customer’s athletic game.
While introducing its lookbook for Inter.Active, The Hundreds reveals the collection’s goal to expose the athleisure market for what it really is, which the brand proposes might be less than a pure sport focus.
In fact, The Hundreds explains the campaign is “a tongue-in-cheek jab at popular athleisure advertisements, exposing what people really use activewear for: dogwalking, video games, and traveling comfortably.”
The Inter.Active line is now available at The Hundreds flagship stores, at select partner retailers and online.
