Under Armour this week unveiled the first Under Armour Sportswear collection by Executive Creative Director Tim Coppens.

The Baltimore-based company describes the new line as modern American sportswear and ”fashion without hindrance or restraint.” Fans of Coppens’ designs will notice his signature details throughout the first UAS collection especially on the women’s Formation Leggings and Rugby Trench Coat, and the men’s Transition Insulated Vest and Fleece Shorts.

The sportswear company first announced the appointment of Tim Coppens as Executive Creative Director and the new line in June. UAS can be seen as Under Armour’s answer to Nike’s collaboration collections with Sacai and Undercover, and Adidas’ ongoing partnerships with Yohji Yamamoto and Stella McCartney. Coppens has worked for Adidas in the past and served as Director of Ralph Lauren’s RLX line.

The Under Armour Sportswear first collection will debut at New York Fashion Week this September and will be carried at Under Armour stores in New York, Boston and Chicago, and Barneys and Mr. Porter.
