An impressive 20.3% increase in the sales of Caleres’ brand portfolio drove a solid revenue boost at the St. Louis, Missouri-based footwear company in Q1 2019, but was not enough to prevent a sharp decline in earnings.
Caleres-owned, comfort-focused footwear brand Vionic has named Jerry Williamson as senior vice president of global sales, and Angela Caltagirone as senior vice president of digital and brand marketing.
The St. Louis, Missouri-based footwear group announced on Tuesday that it has acquired a controlling interest in Californian casual shoe brand Blowfish Malibu, which has a trailing 12-month revenue of some $27 million.
Caleres has appointed Molly Adams as president of Famous Footwear, its largest brand, constituting 59% of the group's revenue and bringing in $1.6B in 2017. Adams comes most recently from an EVP role at Disney.
