Alexander McQueen - Menswear Autumn/Winter 2014/2015 Show in London

Enter the world of Alexander McQueen, which remains eternally both romantic and nostalgic, even bordering on dark. Sarah Burton, the artistic director, takes inspiration from punk, rebellious London – boots, leather and bomber jackets, tartan outfits reinterpreted in colour, such as soft pink – but also from the spirit of the label’s founder, Lee McQueen, who loved working on tailoring in particular. Perfectly cut two-piece suits dominate this collection, with tight-fitting jackets and double-breasted overcoats, some complete with golden bands for an unbeatable evening look. Check out the fronts of the white shirts, decorated with portraits of artist Lucian Freud by photographer John Deakin or words by the poet Oliver Bernard splashed across a trench coat.Music from the show
