Missoni : Menswear presentation Spring/Summer 2020 in Milan (featuring interview)

Creative director : Angela Missoni Theme: Serge Gainsbourg’s attitude and free spirit at the heart of the inspiration behind the Missoni menswear collection. Angela Missoni took inspiration from this French icon and also from the image of her father (Ottavio Missoni) to design a wardrobe mixing elegance and casualness.Collection: a formal spirit mixed with more casual pieces. Trousers are accompanied with knitted jackets (some of which are limited edition), the suit is adorned with tennis stripes and the sweaters with colorful patterns. Zig zag mesh blends with more technical materials for ultra-light and protective overcoats. The look echoes the nonchalance of the 70s, including a pattern issued from the archives that is found printed on cotton shirts.Featuring interview with Angela Missoni. It is the unconventional elegance which is best represented by Serge Gainsbourg. I have always loved men who think independently, who lead an independent life, who have made their lives exactly what they wanted them to be. Even through the way they dressed, we can feel this free spirit (an unconventional elegance). For me, the creative process is still very important in the textures, for not only womenswear but also menswear. I find that menswear is so careful concerning the details of the materials, the details of the production and the details of the finish. There are various cottons, linens, cashmeres and fine wools. Although this is a spring/summer collection, it is good that this collection arrives in stores in January. In this way, we do not have a collection that is only exclusive to summer; we have a collection that is fit for every season. Royalty free music -Verve by Assaf Ayalon (A-GROUP) Artlist
